In autumn 2025, the open-level Bollywood class will explore the folk dance of the state of Maharashtra: Lavani. Lavani means “beauty,” and in this class we will work on the choreography Apsara Ali, which bursts with feminine goddess energy and celebrates the splendour and beauty of the dancers. You may bring a scarf if you like – it will be used at times in the choreography – but you can participate perfectly well without one.
All dancers of all levels are welcome, and the classes follow the principles of a safer space.

In the open-level classes in Naantali, we will rehearse the Rajasthani Bollywood choreography learned in spring 2025 for the performance until 12 October, with each session lasting 2 hours. The performance takes place on 19 October. After that, from 26 October onwards, we will focus on technique for the choreography planned for spring 2026, for 5 sessions of 90 minutes each. New students are also welcome to join from 26 October.
LEVEL: Open level – suitable for everyone. No previous dance experience is required, but there will also be challenges for more experienced dancers.
